The official website of the UK Mission to the United Nations, Geneva
This re-launched website is part of our wider efforts to interprate the work we undertake in Geneva everyday on behalf of the UK. We work on solutions to the biggest global challenges. We work to promote better human rights, freer and fairer trade, better governance of UN institutions, as well as action on climate change, global health and humanitarian disasters. In doing this we believe good partnerships, collaboration, and ideas are crucial. We welcome your suggestions on how to improve this site, and how we can help you to better understand and support the work we undertake.
Climate Change
Building a low carbon, high growth global economy is a major policy goal for the UK in tackling climate change. The UK Mission in Geneva works with a range of UN organisations and other partners on this complex and multi-faceted challenge. Our most recent achievement has been to expand the work of the World Health Organisation on protecting health from the impacts of climate change. In September the Mission's team will take part in the 20th Anniversary meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which is being held in Geneva.
