Travel advice for this country
Entry requirements
Visa
British passport holders require a visa to enter Ghana. Overstaying without the proper authority is a serious matter and can lead to detention or refused permission to leave the country until a fine is paid. For further information contact the
Ghanaian High Commission in London.
Passport validity
Passports should be valid for at least six months when submitted to the Ghanaian authorities for a visa.
Yellow Fever vaccination certificate
You may be asked to produce a yellow fever vaccination certificate on arrival in the country.
Travelling with children
Single parents or other adults travelling alone with children should be aware that some countries require documentary evidence of parental responsibility before allowing lone parents to enter the country or, in some cases, before permitting the children to leave the country. For further information on exactly what will be required at immigration please contact the
Ghanaian High Commission in London.
