There are reports of a confirmed human case of Swine Flu in Denmark. You can check for updates on the number of cases and their location through the Danish National Health Board

There is a general threat from terrorism in Denmark. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers.

Around 150,000 British tourists visit Denmark every year (Source: Danish National Statistical Office). Most visits are trouble-free. 55 British nationals required consular assistance in Denmark in the period 01 April 2008 – 31 March 2009 for the following types of incident; deaths (16 cases); hospitalisations (5 cases); and arrests, for a variety of offences (23 cases). During this period assistance was also requested with regard to lost or stolen passports (89 cases). If you need to contact the emergency services in Denmark call 112.

Sky Europe Airlines has announced the cancellation of all its European flights for the foreseeable future due to bankruptcy. Travellers that booked directly with the airline are unlikely to get a refund and should make enquiries with alternative carriers. Travellers that booked with a credit card may be able to get a refund at a later date, and should make enquiries with alternative carriers. Travellers that booked via a tour operator should contact them to make alternative flight arrangements.
