TRADE AND INVESTMENT WITH THE UK

Traditionally, Libya has been a strong British market. The invisibles sector, City earnings on Libyan financial activities, remittances of UK workers and purchase of UK services is also substantial. British exports for 2003 were £241.7 million.

British imports from Libya consist almost exclusively of petroleum products. Total imports for 2003 were £202.1 million.
