Lord Howell appointed as personal adviser to the Foreign Secretary on Energy and Resource Security

The Rt Hon Lord Howell of Guildford has today stepped down as Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and has been appointed as personal adviser to the Foreign Secretary on Energy and Resource Security.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The Foreign Secretary said:

“I want to thank Lord Howell for his invaluable support and advice over the last two and a half years. He has been an exceptional Minister. I look forward to his continuing contribution in a different capacity, as my personal adviser focusing on the crucial challenges and opportunities of energy and resource security, where I know he has an important contribution to make.”
