Minister of Europe welcomes President of Lithuania
Minister for Europe David Lidington welcomed President Dalia Grybauskaite of Lithuania during her visit to London for the Olympic games.
Following the meeting with President Dalia Grybauskaite of Lithuania, Minister for Europe David Lidington said:
“I was delighted to meet President Grybauskaite during her visit to London for the Olympic games. I wish Lithuanian athletes the best of luck during the games and hope they are successful in securing medals.
“Our meeting is timely given the Foreign Secretary’s recent visit to Vilnius on 17-18 July and an excellent opportunity to cement the increasingly strong relationship between our two countries. We had a productive discussion about a range of bilateral, European and international issues. I look forward to continuing our close co-operation in future.”
