UK congratulates Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on re-election as President of Liberia

Minister for Africa Henry Bellingham said he looks forward to a constructive and productive working relationship with President Sirleaf and her Government.

Commenting on the re-election the Foreign Office Minister said:

“I congratulate Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on her re-election as President of Liberia and on elections that were widely recognised to be free, fair and transparent. I call on all parties to respect the official results. I look forward to a constructive and productive working relationship with President Sirleaf and her government, one that continues to bring our countries closer together.”
