Foreign Office Minister on Kosovo appointment

David Lidington, Minister for Europe, said today:

"I warmly welcome the appointment of Andy Sparkes, currently British Ambassador to Kosovo, as Deputy Head of Mission of EULEX, the EU's Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo. The UK Government is strongly committed to Kosovo and to the vital role that the EU is playing in supporting Kosovo's development, in particular in the field of the rule of law. Andy Sparkes' secondment to the mission underlines this firm UK commitment."
