Welcome to the 'Know Before You Go' resource for Key Stage 5

The 'Know Before You Go' (KBYG) resource has been designed for delivery during tutor time as part of your PSHE/PSE/PCHE timetabling or to support the personal and social aspects of the courses listed in the curriculum links section of these notes.

The key aim of the resource is to provide travel advice to young people at an age when they are beginning to consider travelling alone or with peers for the first time.

It is the primary aims of this resource that students:

• leave the lesson with knowledge of the steps to take before they travel abroad
• will understand where to go to get more information on their destination and the relevant steps to take before they travel abroad

To assist planning and delivery, the Teacher's Notes, have been divided into two main sections; we have also provided a PDF version of these notes and Curriculum Relevance
