The rapid development of a globally networked world offers enormous social and economic opportunities. #LondonCyber Interactive aims to explore them through a series of live and virtual debates, presentations and interactions covering issues from international development, to freedom of expression, policing in the cyber age and the lessons of the Arab Spring.
A Youth Forum and a UK Cyber Industry Showcase will also form part of the #LondonCyberInteractive programme.which is designed to contribute ideas central to the main conference themes and to feed into the thematic debates.

This will explore the rise and rise of social media, the impact and implications of new developments; recent experiences of state responses to the use of citizen media, for instance in the Arab Spring and legal implications. In the first ever release of such data in February this year, UK Government estimates reveal the impact of cyber crime on the UK economy to be in the region of a staggering £27 billion per year (made up of £21 billion costs to business, £2.2 billion to government and £3.1 billion to citizens).
