Prosperity Fund programme

The FCO’s Prosperity fund promotes sustainable, global economic growth through support for an open global economy, avoiding dangerous climate change and enhancing energy security.

The countries with dedicated programmes are: Brazil, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South Korea and Turkey.

We also operate regional funds in the Gulf, Latin America and South East Asia to widen our global reach, and work with the IEA and OECD through our delegation in Paris. Much of the programme is consistent with the UK’s international development objectives.

How to apply for funding

The programme has £18 million available for 2012-2013. The majority of this funding has been devolved to posts, who will be responsible for project appraisal and selection.
