David Miliband launches the 2007 Human Rights reportForeign Secretary, David Miliband, launched the FCO's Human Rights Annual Report for 2007 in March 2008. Please watch the video clip of the launch on Youtube or read David Miliband's blog post.

The Report reflects the range of work we (the Foreign Office) have been doing to promote human rights worldwide.

Now we want to hear what you think about global human rights, our work and the issues raised in the report. Please read the Human Rights Annual Report 2007.

You can also read previous Human Rights Annual Reports.

What is the Human Rights Annual Report for?

Human rights cut across all of our new policy goals, including preventing conflict and building effective international institutions such as the UN. This year's report reflects this.

The report is scrutinised in Parliament by the Foreign Affairs Select Committee, which takes evidence from Ministers and organisations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.

The report goes to the diplomatic community in London and to our embassies and posts around the world.

We have more info about this and previous reports in our Human Rights area.
