Top British diplomat visits Sudan
Peter Ricketts (our Permanent Under-Secretary) has been in Sudan to see this 'diverse and complex country' for himself.
During his full-packed 3 day trip he met Foreign Office staff, Sudanese Government counterparts, DfID partners and even a big film star!

Rebuilding lives in Afghanistan
The FCO-led Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) is working in Helmand Province to rebuild schools, clinics and government buildings.
Despite the fragile security situation, the team are repairing the damage caused by the fighting.
