Summer Placement Scheme

The Summer Placement Scheme is organised by the Cabinet Office in order to give talented students with a registered disability a chance to experience working at the heart of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. The Summer Placement Scheme lasts for six weeks, in order for participants to engage in meaningful project work. Candidates should expect to get real experience of working with senior staff, as well as the chance to attend FCO events.

The scheme is open to UK nationals with a registered disability in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. Applicants must also have a minimum 2:2 expected or awarded degree.

For full details of application windows and entry criteria, visit the Civil Service Summer Placement Scheme website.
