Work experience

We are enthusiastic about offering the chance to experience the work and culture of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to as wide a range of people as possible.

In previous years our work experience students have had a real impact at the FCO, getting involved with work in the political section, assisting our counter-terrorism and counter-proliferation teams, as well as getting real experience of service delivery in our Consular teams.

Economic Sandwich Students Placement Scheme

Every year, we offer a number of undergraduates twelve month placements in our economics teams as part of our commitment to valuing economic work.
