If you want to study a course leading to a postgraduate qualification in the United Kingdom, you may need to apply for an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate.
You may also need an ATAS Certificate if you wish to carry out research here for longer than 6 months.
Please note: The ATAS application form will be closed on Tuesday 21 February for essential maintenance. It will not be possible for students to register, access or submit any applications on this date. Applications for processing times and enquiries sent to the ATAS mailbox will be unaffected by this closure. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
You will need this before you apply for your visa. ATAS is only required for certain courses. You need to check if you are affected before you apply for your visa.
