Berlin: The British Perspective 1945-1990

The Allied Museum in Berlin presents 'Berlin: The British Perspective 1945-1990', the transcript of a witness seminar held in Windsor Park in September 2009. This publication commemorates the construction of the Berlin Wall in 1961; the crafting of the Quadripartite Agreements in 1971 and 1972; and the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Many of the Seminar participants played essential roles in the diplomacy behind international policy during the Cold War, and their testimony sheds light on the challenges that faced international policymakers in the tensions of divided Germany.

Professor Patrick Salmon, FCO Chief Historian is on the board of the Allied Museum, Berlin.
