A1 administrative assistant, home civil service

Our administrative assistants (grade A1) are more than just filing clerks. They are the first level of clerical support and the backbone of the Office.

A2 executive assistant, diplomatic service

B3 Operational Officers, Diplomatic Service

Our Operational Officers (grade B3) specialise in the practical side of diplomatic work - ranging from inspecting visa applications and aiding distressed British nationals overseas to helping coordinate policy at an international level.
