Diplomatic Service Families Association

Diplomatic service life and travel can throw up special challenges for our spouses, partners and families. The Diplomatic Service Families Association is designed to help.

The Association was specifically created to provide advice and support to all spouses, partners and families of Diplomatic Service (DS) Officers. DSFA also assists single parent DS officers.

From advice on education, employment and health matters to knowing where to find the right information, the DSFA can assist.  A team of advisers are on hand who handle a wide range of subjects wherever our members are in the world. 

Members can contact DSFA for:

  • employment and training advice, free employment seminars and funding for career training
  • advice on organising your children's education, including those with special needs
  • advice where a family member has a disability
  • advice on issues affecting foreign-born spouses/partners
  • advice and support on a range of welfare matters
  • information on living conditions, employment prospects and education choices for all FCO's Posts worldwide through our useful print and online resource material.

DSFA is designed to help spouses, partners and family members of Foreign and Commonwealth Office diplomatic staff in every way – educational matters included.
