This major series contains key documents from the archives of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

Earlier volumes of DBPO were published by Her Majesty’s Stationery Office (HMSO), now The Stationery Office (TSO), apart from Series I, Volume VIII and Series III, Volume III, which were published by Frank Cass. Current volumes are published by Routledge.

Some volumes are now being produced in a digital format, comprising a slim book of editorial material with a sleeve containing one or two CD-ROMs. Each searchable CD-ROM contains approximately 500 documents reproduced as colour facsimile images (as opposed to 100-120 documents in traditional hard-copy volumes).
